Mrs. Jennie Todd Johnson, 97, a former long time Fairfield resident, wife of the late Charles Johnson, now of Dexter, Mo., died Apr. 8, 1983, at the Doctor's Regional Medical Center at Poplar Bluff, Mo. Mrs. Johnson had lived in Dexter, Mo. for the past 14 years to be nearer her daughter, Mrs. Vernette Miller.
Funeral services were conducted Apr. 11, 1983 at the United Methodist Church, at Flora, with Rev. Steven Hubble officiating. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery at Flora.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Oconee Mar. 19, 1886. She married Charles Clarence Johnson in Fairfield in 1906. She was an active member of the Methodist Church at Fairfield for a number of years, as well as being active in numerous community affairs with her husband.
Survivors include four sons, Lowell Johnson, of Aledo; Robert Johnson, Sacramento, Calif.; Wayne Johnson, of Tempe, Ariz.; and Charles Johnson, of Alhambra, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Vernette Miller, of Dexter, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Laura Bahr, of Des Moines, Iowa; nine grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren.
