Bertha L. Mayo, 42, of Flora, a Wayne County native, died Thursday, Apr. 14, 1983, at the Clay County Hospital at Flora.

She was the daughter of Rossie H. and Liza Chloe (Warren) Mayo.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday (today) at the Hosselton, Bookhout, Engelmeier Funeral Home, of Flora.  Burial was in the Cisne Cemetery.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the Eagles and the Oak Street Baptist Church, at Flora.

Survivors include one son, John Franklin Mayo, of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Mrs. Mildred Neff, of Flora; one half-sister, Dorothy Roy, of Akron, Ohio and one Half-brother, Andrew Mayo, of Rinard.
