The Press has learned of the death of a Fairfield native in Florida recently.  Mrs. Eulelah Gregory Lyon died Sept. 12, 1994, at the Orange Park Medical Center in Florida.

Mrs. Lyon and her husband, Rev. Edward Lyon, lived at Renney Farms, Fla. For a number of years she had been a correspondent for the retirement center for the Clay County Crescent newspaper until a year ago when she developed health problems.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Gregory and was reared in the Fairfield area.  The Lyons were married for more than 55 years. She had served years ago on the editorial staff of Merriam-Webster and also was in the Houghton Mifflin Publishing Company in Massachusetts. She also had taught school. Mrs. Lyon was a talented singer.

Memorial services were held Oct. 13 at Penney Memorial Church in Penney Farms, Fla.

Surviving are her husband; a brother, James A. Gregory, of Pompano Beach, Fla.; a sister-
in-law; a niece and several nephews.
