Mrs. Wilma G. Vaughan, 92, of Bloomington, died at 7:25 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 1994, at Martin Health Center in that city. She was a Wayne County native and widow of the late Raymond W. (China) Vaughan, who at one time headed the county Democratic organization here.
A memorial service for Mrs. Vaughan was held Oct. 20 at the Marquis Chapel of Second Presbyterian Church in Bloomington, with Rev. William Stryker officiating. There was no visitation. The body was cremated. The Beck Memorial Home of Bloomington handled arrangements.
She was born in Wayne County Apr. 19, 1902, the daughter of Charles and Ann Reeves Gray. On Oct. 25, 1921, at Carmi, she was married to Raymond W. Vaughan. He passed away Sept. 23, 1979. Also preceding her in death were her parents, one son, three sisters and one grandson.
Mrs. Vaughan was a homemaker and a member of the Second Preabyterian Church in Bloomington. She was a life member of the Order of Eastern Star. Memorials may be made to the Second Presbyterian Church or Westminster Foundation, Bloomington, Ill.
Surviving are a son, Raymond W. (Brick) Vaughan, of Bloomington; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
