A Xenia housewife, Mrs. Iva Maude Barr, 98, died at 1: 25 a.m. Friday, June 14, 1985, at Flora Nursing Center, of the infirmities of age.   Mrs. Barr was the widow of Artist P. Barr.

 Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Frank and Bright Funeral Home at Flora, with Rev. Esther Carriker officiating.   Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Xenia.

Mrs. Barr was born at Rinard Nov. 28, 1886, the daughter of Jeff and Mary Cox.  She was wed to Artist Barr in Wayne county, Mar. 20, 1907. Mr. Barr preceded her in death June 2, 1942.

Survivors include one son, Chester Barr, of Gibson City; one brother, Alva Cox, of McLeansboro; and one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
