Funeral services were held Sunday at the Mill Shoals United Methodist Church for Helen R. Hendrey, 84, Holland, Ind., who died at 4:28 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, 1994 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

Survivors include a sister, Wilma Puckett of Fairfield.

Rev. Mike Buckman officiated and burial was in Shrewsbury Cemetery. Elledge Funeral Home in Mill Shoals was in charge of arrangements.

She was born Oct. 11, 1910 in Mill Shoals to Charles and Lena Boze Funkhouser. She married Kenneth Hendrey, who preceded her in death.  Mrs. Hendrey was a member of the Mill Shoals United Methodist Church.

Surviving besides her sister are three sons, John of Holland, Ind.; David of Cochise, Az.; and Bill of Princeton, Ind.; a daughter, Vilena Meyer of Kingsport, N.Y.; two brothers, Rev. Dr. Clyde Funkhouser of Belleville; and Oscar Funkhouser of Enfield; 24 grandchildren and
several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons.
