Mrs. Orvella A. Wood, 72, of Mt. Vernon, died at 3 a.m. Thursday, Sept 29, 1994 at her home.  Mrs. Wood was a native of Sims. She was associated with her husband in the operation of Wood & Wood CPAs for 51 years.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon from the Hughey Funeral Home, with Rev. Alam Rhein and Rev. Vern Ballard officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.

She was born at Sims Sept. 17, 1922, the daughter of Opal and Stella Mayberry Anderson.  On Oct. 24, 1941, in Mt. Vernon, she was married to Donald N. Wood.  He passed away Dec. 7, 1982. Also preceding
her in death were her father, two sons and one granddaughter.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

Surviving are three sons, Donald A. Wood, of Bonnie; David N. Wood, of Mt. Vernon; and Douglas S. Wood, of Monona, Wis.; one daughter Widney Moore, of Corvallis, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; her
mother, Stella Anderson of Mt. Vernon; and a brother, Robert Anderson, of Toledo, Ohio.
