A former Mt. Erie resident, Mrs. Wanda P. Gardner Hosselton, 54, of rural Clay City, died at 11:15 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 1985, at Carle Hospital in Urbana. Mrs. Hosselton was the sister of Mrs. Ellen Wolfe, of Mt. Erie. She taught elementary school for 15 years in northern Wayne County and Flora before retiring.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne with Elder James Walston officiating. Burial followed in Zif cemetery.
Mrs. Hosselton was born in Mt. Erie Mar. 19, 1931, the daughter of Lemuel and Effie Massie Gardner. She was married to Clydene Hosselton Aug. 5, 1956, at Lawrenceville. Mrs. Hosselton was a housewife and homemaker. She attended the Baptist church.
Survivors include her husband, Clydene Hosselton, of Clay City; one son, Loy Hosselton, at home; and two sisters, Mrs. William (Lola) Harrison of Lakeland, Fla.; and Mrs. Ellen Wolfe, of Mt. Erie.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
