Mrs. Janice E. Meyer, 57, of 1100 Lezlie Lane, died at 5 p.m. Friday, June 7, 1985, at Welborn Baptist Hospital in Evansville, Ind., after being taken by the Lifeflight helicopter from Fairfield Memorial Hospital earlier in the day.   Mrs.  Meyer was the wife of retired Centralia Cartage employee, Homer Meyer.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday (today) at Christ Lutheran Church with Pastor Raymond Reinbolt officiating.  Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery at Hoyleton.

Born at Hoyleton, Nov. 19, 1927, Mrs. Meyer was the daughter of Richard and Elsie Brandhorst Schuette.  She was married to Homer Meyer in San Francisco, Calif Oct. 28, 1949.  The Meyer family moved to Fairfield in 1963.  Mrs. Meyer was a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, Homer Meyer, of Fairfield; one daughter, Miss Cheryl Meyer, of Evansville, Ind.; and a sister, Mrs Don (Marlyn) DeSham, of St. Louis, Mo.

Mrs. Meyer was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter and a brother.
