Willie Eugene Witter, 83, of Goreville, the brother of Ina Witter, of Wayne City, died at 4:05 a.m. Saturday, Aug 24, 1985, at Marion Memorial Hospital in Marion.

Mr. Witter was a retired Union Electric Engineer.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home in McLeansboro, with Rev. Merrell McGowan and Rev. Allen Milligan officiating.  Burial was in Garrison Cemetery.

Mr. Witter is survived by his wife, Pauline Stewart Witter, of Goreville; two step-sons, Ronald Goddard of Rock Springs, Wyo. Jack Goddard, of Vienna; one sister, Ina Witter, of Wayne City; and five step-grandchildren.
