John Leon Coulson, 75, of Lancaster Calif., a former Fairfield resident, died Friday, Aug. 16, 1985, at his residence.  Mr. Coulson was employed as a meat cutter for 40 years before his retirement.   He later operated a knife Cutting business for three years.  Years ago the family lived at 507 West Elm.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lancaster, Calif.  Burial was in Lancaster Cemetery.

Mr. Coulson was born in Fairfield Dec. 2, 1909. He married Laura Coulson in St.  Louis, Mo., Aug. 26, 1942.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Coulson, of Lancaster, Calif.; two sons. John Coulson, of Evansville, Ind.; Rick Coulson, of Lancaster, Calif.; four daughters, Kay Rueger, Eileen Belcher and Gale Reynolds, all from Lancaster, Calif.; Raymonda Belcher, of Sacramento, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son and a step-daughter.
