Glenn (Beany) Gowler, 72, of Dahlgren, died 7:40 p.m. Saturday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.    He was a brother of Ray Gowler, of Wayne City.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren.  Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery at Keenes. Visitation will be after 6 p. m.  Monday (tonight).

He was born May 9, 1913, in Jefferson county, the son of James and Anne
Burnett Gowler.   He was married to Norrna Chase.   Mr. Gowler was a retired carpenter.

Surviving are his wife, Norma; one son, Sam, of Mt. Vernon, one brother, Ray Gowler, Wayne City; and one grandson.
