Funeral services for David L. Rodgers, 20, of Cisne, were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday (today) at H@sselton Funeral Home, Cisne, with Elder Oscar Dean officiating. Interment followed in Bestow Cemetery at Geff.
Mr. Rodgers was pronounced dead-at-the scene following a motorcycle crash at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday, July30, 1985, on Rt. 50 near Wal-Mart in Flora. Details of the accident appear elsewhere in today's Press.
Mr. Rodgers was born in Wayne county Dec. 21, 1964, the son of Robert and Nelda Harshbarger Rodgers. He was a 1983 graduate of Cisne High School.
Mr. Rodgers was employed as a service station attendant at Cisne Shell.
He was a member of the Blue Point Freewill Baptist Church near Cisne.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rodgers, of Cisne; three sisters, Julie and Mandy Rodgers, both at home; and Mrs. Kenny (Jonni) Tucker, of Johnsonville; one brother, Andy Rodgers, of Cisne; paternal grandmother, Iva Rodgers, of Cisne; paternal grandfather, Archie Rodgers, of St. Marie; and maternal grandparents, Glenn and Leslie Harshbarger, of Geff.
