Paul Duckworth, 83, Retired Oil Man, Dies;
Rites Friday
Paul A. Duckworth, of Enfield, died at 5:55 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 1996, atthe Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi.
He was a retired Marathon Oil Company employee, employed in the pipeline department.
Funeral rites will be at 11 a.m. Friday from the Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, with Bro. William L. Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Enfield Cemetery. Visitation at the Campbell Funeral Home will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening (tonight). Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. conducted by Enfield Masonic Lodge No. 677.
He was born in Mill Shoals Township Sept. 1, 1912, the son of Roscoe Logan and Martha Jane Taylor Duckworth. On July 2, 1934, he was married to Mary Helen Parks.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Bob (Marilyn) Prince, of Poseyville, Ind.; four sons, Robert L. of Carmi, Noele of Enfield; Donnie of Enfield; and Lowell of Albion; one sister, Carrie Maricle, of Carmi, one brother, Otis Duckworth, of rural Mill Shoals, eight grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother and one grandchild.
