Orville Benskin, 79, a retired rural Clay City farmer, died at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 1983, at the Flora Care Center, at Flora, where he had been in failing health for sometime.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday (today) at the Hasselton- Bookhout-Engelmeier Funeral Home, of Clay City, with Rev Ron Linder officiating. Burial was in Kneff Cemetery south of Flora.
Mr. Benskin was born in Clay County Mar. 22, 1903, the son of Charles and Lucy (Ruger) Benskin. He was married to the former Ethel Gill in Olney Feb. 9, 1927, who survives. The Benskins farmed during their marriage. The farm is located on the Wayne- Clay County line.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Benskin, of rural Clay City; two daughters, Mrs. Carroll (Mariorie) Murbarger and Mrs. Charles (Joyce) Scammahorn, both of Clay City; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Travis, of Clay City; and one brother, Donald Benskin, of Princeton.
