Cloyd Lane, son of Moses and Minerva Lane, was born August 24th 1866, and departed this life July 7, 1941, at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 13 days.

He united in marriage to Lucy Hansbraugh October 3, 1891. To this union eight children were born, and of these two perceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his passing his companion and six children: Bert Lane, Mrs. Bessie Stevenson, Mrs. Etta Shell, Clarence Lane and Ernest Lane all of Wayne City Illinois. Bill Lane of East St. Louis Illinois, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and a host of relatives and friends, to all of whom he was a kind and loving husband and father, friend and neighbor.
