Keelin Grant (K.C.) Bruce, 99, Wayne City, passed away at 1:55 a.m. on July 1, 2007, at Fair-field Memorial Hospital.

He was born on June 24, 1908, in Wayne County, the son of Joseph A. and Mary V. Melton Bruce. He married Grace P. Metcalf, and she preceded him in death on July 28, 1993.

He was a retired farmer and heavy equipment operator.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Salem Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Jesse Allen and Rev. Tony Kash officiating.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. tonight at Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City. Burial will be at Salem-Mateer Cemetery in Sa-lem.

K.C. is survived by his son R.D. Bruce and wife Genevieve of Wayne City; daughter Grace Mae Dailey and husband Everett of Mattoon; grandsons Bruce Dailey of Ma-ttoon and Brian Dailey of Westfield; granddaughters La-Donna Fletcher of Champaign and Amanda Bruce of Catlin.

He was a member of the Salem Free Will Baptist Church and the Terra Haute Local 841 of International Union of Operating Engineers and a 76-year member of Modern Woodman of America.

K.C. was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers.
