Matilda A. "Mattie" (Wilson) Burroughs was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Wilson. She married 28 March 1901, Wayne Co. IL, Lester Dunlap Burroughs.

Mrs. Mattie Burroughs was stricken with paralysis on Wednesday, February 4, as she went from her home to the store.  Mrs. Burroughs had been in usual health until Monday, February 9, when she passed away and was laid to rest in the Harrell Cemetery.
