Co. Ohio.

David Baker, Sen., was born in Green Co., Penn., August 10, 1794, and moved to Ohio with his parents in 1801, Married Miss Sarah Dunlap Jan. 20, 1820, Moved to Wayne Co., Ill., in 1841, where he lived until his death, Jan. 30, 1877, aged 82 years, 5 Mo. 20 days, Brother Baker lived with the bride of his youth until Oct. 19, 1869, when she departed this life. They had 10 sons, and 2 daughters, 69 grandchildren and 19 great grand children. Total family, if all were living 132, 94 of whom are still living.
David Baker, Sr. was converted and united with M.E. Church in 1855.
In February 1873, he became blind but was not disposed to murmur but
said that in the loss of his "natural sight", God had given him clearer
visions of spiritual and eternal things. He accepted Christ, and in his
