 Mrs. Margaret Evaline "Maggie" Burroughs, 85, whose home was south of Xenia, died last Friday, Dec. 24, at a nursing home in Mt. Carmel, where she had been a patient the last two years.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock, Sunday afternoon, from Brush Creek church, with Rev. Howard officiating assisted by Rev. Lewis DeSelms. Interment followed in Harrell cemetery.

The body lay in state at the Hancock Funeral Home in Flora, until the hour of final services.
 Mrs. Burroughs, the widow of Arthur Burroughs, is survived by one daughter, Mrs. J. Charles May, of Independence, Mo.; one son, Hubert Burroughs of Salem; and one sister, Mrs. Lucy Foraker of Flora.
