Clarence Lane, 78 retired Dahlgren farmer died at 5:15 a.m.
Sunday. March 30, 1986 at good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon of heart
failure.
Mr. Lane was a lifetime resident of Arel township. His health had started to decline two years ago. |
Funeral services was conducted at 2p.m. Wednesday ar Richardson Funeral Home, Wayne City. With Rev. Oakley Miller officiating. Burial followed at the Olive Branch Cemetery near Wayne City. Visitations for family and friends was held after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Lane was born in Wayne county March 9, 1908, the son of Cloyd and Lucy Hansbraugh Lane. He was united in marriage to Hazel Smith March 19, 1929. He was a member of the Belle Prairie Missionary Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hazel Lane of Dahlgren; one sister Etta Shell of Nature Trail Nursing Home in Mt. Vernon; three grandchildren, Randall Lee, Jerold Eugene Lane and Laurie Ann Selpien, all of Carpentersville IL and two great-grandchildren, Nichole Marie and Mark Clarence III.
Preceding him in death were one son, Clarence Eugene; three sisters and three brothers and mother and father.
Pallbearers were Randy Lane, Jerald Lane, Kinney Selpien, Loren Bailey, Albert Seves and Terry Richardson.
