Mrs. Gertrude B. Brissenden, 94, a Cisne resident and former Wayne County Press news correspondent, died at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Burgin Manor Nursing Home at Olney.

She had been a resident of the nursing home for six years and died from infirmities of age. Mrs. Brissenden had been a news correspondent for the Press during the 1940-50's.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at H@sselton's Funeral Home in Cisne, with Bro. Jack Smith officiating. Burial will be in Zif Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday (tonight) at the funeral home.

She was born in Rinard Mar, 28, 1887, the daughter of Lafayette and Mary Ann (Hubble) Behymer. She was educated in Wayne County.      Mrs. Brissenden owned and operated a farm with the help of her two sons, Andy and Donald, near Cisne. Both sons preceded her in death.      She was a member of the Zif Pinhook Christian Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Lyndall) Dennison, of Flora; and Mrs. Hubert (Iola) Rodgers, of Skokie; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren
