DiAnne Theofanopoulos, 30, a Fairfield woman who had been living in Casa Grande, Ariz., died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1982, at Barnes Hospital, St.
Louis, Mo.  Miss Theofanopoulos had been a patient at the hospital since Oct. 20th.  She had suffered from leukemia for several years, the family said.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the Nale's Funeral Home with Bro. Carroll Kakac officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday (tonight) at the funeral home.

Miss Theofanopoulos was born July 6, 1952, the daughter of the late George Theofanopoulos and Joy (Higdon) Theofanopoulos Stine.

She attended Fairfield High School and graduated in 1970. Miss Theofanopoulos graduated in 1974 from DePauw University at Greencastle, Ind., with a degree in Elementary Education. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.      Miss Theofanopoulos accepted her first teaching position at the Stanfield Elementary School in Casa Grande, Ariz She has taught first grade at the school
for the past seven years.

She was a member of the Greek Orthodox faith.

Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Leland (Joy) Stine and her stepfather, Leland Stine, of Fairfield; one sister, Mrs. Calvin (Ellen) Hedges, of Mt. Vernon and a brother, Dino Theofanopoulos, of Mt. Vernon.
