Glen D. Davis, 77, Geff Native Dies In Pontiac
Glen D. Davis, 77, of Pontiac, died Friday at St. James Hospital in that city. A native of Geff, Mr. Davis had been ill for five years and hospitalized one day at the time of his death.
Funeral services were conducted Monday (today) at the Duffy Funeral Home in Pontiac with Rev. Stanley Murdock officiating Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery at Pontiac.
Mr. Davis farmed for 30 years in the Odell and Ancona area retiring from farming in 1955. He then worked for the Pontiac road district for another 10 years.
He was born at Geff, July 17, 1905, the son of Addison and Cora Yoho Davis. On Mar. 9, 1927 he was married in Fairfield to Bessie Eikleberry. Mr. Davis attended school in Wayne County. He was a member of the Christian church.
Surviving are his widow, Bessie; one son, Don, of Odell; one daughter, Mrs. Bernetta Legren of Pontiac; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Norman, of Carmi; and Merritt, of Eola; and a sister, Mrs. Earl (Letha) Rich, of West Salem.
