Stella M. Sutherland, 87, of Gibson City died Friday July 30, 2004 at Gibson Area Hospital, Gibson City.  Funeral services were Monday at the Gibson City Bible Church, Gibson City, with the Rev. Paul Thomason officiating; burial was in Drummer Twp. Cemetery, Gibson City.  Mrs. Sutherland was born 12-23-1916 at Wayne City, a daughter of James B. and Mettie Gaines Anderson.  She married Clarence R. Sutherland Aug 11, 1937 at Princeton, Indiana; he died March 16, 2002.  Surviving are three sons, Donald R. Sutherland of Baxter Springs, Kansas, and Galen D. Sutherland and David M. Sutherland, both of Jacksonville, ARK.; five daughters, Barbara D. Stivers of North Little Rock, Ark., Darlene D. Groves of Chesapeke, Va., Marilyn K. Sampson of Gibson City, Sharlyn M. Brown of Elliott and Carol M. Heimburger of Gifford; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and one sister, Eline Moore of Gibson City.  Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.  She was a member of Gibson City Bible Church.  Memorials may be made to her church or to Heartland Healthcare Center of Paxton.
