William Malone, 78, well-known retired Berry township farmer, died Sunday night at ten o-clock in a Mt. Vernon hospital where he had been a patient the past week suffering from ailments incident to his advanced age.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Bailey church, north of Wayne City, on Wednesday afternoon at two-o’clock by Rev. James Miller. Burial will be in the Bailey cemetery.

Mr. Malone was born in Wayne county on February 21st, 1870.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lizzie Shehorn Malone, three years ago.

Surviving are six children. Glen Malone, of Fairfield; Robert Malone, of near Fairfield; Ogie Malone, of McLeansboro; Mrs.Clela Butcher and Mrs. Wreatha Barnard, north of Wayne City and Mrs. Gertie Yocum, of Rantoul
