A Sad and Impressive Funeral

At 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, the funeral services over the remains of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Reinhard's little daughter were held at their home. The flowers were many and beautiful, the gifts of loving and grief-stricken hearts. The music was most impressive---The songs, "Asleep in Jesus;" "Safe in The Arms of Jesus;" "Looking this Way;" "Nearer My God to Thee" were rendered by H. T. Dwyer, Robert Tweed, Chas. Carter, Jos. Boze, Mr. Hart, Mrs. Finch, Mrs. Guirey, Miss Mollie Carter and Miss Daisy Rider. Dr. Guirey, pastor of the Baptist Church, officiated. His remarks were brief and appropriate. The procession to the cemetery was unusually large. At the grave the casket was hermetically sealed in a metallic box, and, after brief closing remarks by Rev. Guirey, it ws lowered to its resting place.

Estella Merld Reinhard was born Jan. 6th, 1902; was taken to her home in Heaven June 22, 1903, having brightened her earthly home one year, five months and sixteen days, being the first of eight children taken away.

"Dearest Sister, thou hast left us,
Here thy loss we deeply feel,
But 'tis God that hath bereft us,
He can all our sorrows heal."

Those from Mt. Carmel who attended the funeral of the Reinhard child Tuesday afternoon were: Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Reinhard, D. F. Reinhard, Mrs. William Stein and Mr. and Mrs. Will Shaw. John Sheets, of Princeton, Ind., was also present.

Social Brevities column

"Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Reinhard, of Anna, arrived in Fairfield Tuesday morning, being called here by the death of Mr. Reinhard's baby sister. He will only remain here a few days but Mrs. Reinhard will remain some time."

"J. D. Reinhard returned home from Kansas Thursday of last week, the serious illness of his baby daughter causing him to come sooner than he intended."
