was born in Kentucky, Dec 23rd, 1818. In early youth he came with his parents to this state where he has lived ever since. In 1--9 he married Mary Vaughn. This union was blessed with fourteen children --- five sons and nine daughters, seven of whom are still living. The faithful wife and mother passed away on July 22nd, 1878. In December, 1--9 he married Sarah Eaton, whose obituary we gave you in March of this year. Mr. Jackson, like each of his companions, was a member of the Christian church. After a short illnesss he (can't read 3 letter word) asleep on Dec. 29th, 1900. The funeral services were held in the Christian church and from there the (can't read word) arch was taken to his last resting place. 82 years and 5 days was the length of his earthly pilgrimage. He was but a child compared to the (---ing) years we shall all hereafter (can't read). Let us live such a life (can't readat) we may hope to meet him in the bright Elysian Field, there to (can't read ) forever more.
