Mrs. William E. McCormick, 84, of rural Xenia, died at 11:30 p.m. Thursday
in the Clay County Hospital in Flora.

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the John T. Frank Funeral Home in Flora with burial in the Powers Cemetery south of Xenia.

Mrs. McCormic was born in Wayne County, the daughter of Columbus and Elizabeth Cantrell.  She was married to William E. McCormick in 1908. He died in 1958.

Surviving are five sons, Archie, of Rinard; Arlie and Charles, both of Xenia; Francis of Argenta; Hubert, of Flora; six daughters, Madelin Gragert and Anna Mae Griffith, both of Flora; Okley Copelin and Lucille Bailey, both of Auburn; Artymissia Fatheree, of Clinton; and Georgia Stengel, of Springfield; 30 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

One son, one sister and one brother preceded her in death.
