Charles Reed, 74, a retired Mill Shoals area farmer, died at 9:45 a.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Reed had been a patient about six days.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Elledge Funeral Home in Mill Shoals with Rev. J. W. Reed officiating. Burial will be in the Burnt Prairie cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Monday (today).

Mr. Reed was born in Wayne County near Mill Shoals Feb. 8, 1902, the son of William and Mollie (Fenton) Reed.

He lived around Mill Shoals most of his life, farming and rearing a family.

Surviving him are two sons, Dale, of South Vienna, O.; and Curtis, of Decatur; one daughter, Mrs. Gene (June) Bailey, of Mill Shoals; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
