Mrs. Anna Price, 58, a former resident of the Fairfield area almost 30 years, died at 6:10 p.m. Saturday in Jackson, Ala. from an apparent heart attack.
Mrs. Price, the widow of Kenneth Price, left the Fairfield area about Five years ago. She had suffered a heart attack last December and had been in intensive care in Mobile, Ala.
She suffered the fatal heart attack at her home in Leroy, Ala., near Jackson.
Her body was returned to Dixon & Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Denny Shepard officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday (tonight).
Mrs. Price was born in Shirly, Mass. on Oct. 14, 1920, the daughter of Frank and Beatrice (Dimsh) Bendick.
She was married to Kenneth Price, a career army man who died in 1968.
While living here, she lived east of Fairfield toward Glodengate. She moved away to northern Illinois and worked in a nursing home there. About two years ago, she moved to Alabama and was semi-retired.
She was of the Catholic faith.
Surviving are one son, William, with the Air Force in Japan; five daughters, Beatrice Shoemaker, of Bensonville; Mary Ann Brown, of Chenoa, Ill.; Eleanor Payne, of Tupelo, Miss.; Kathryn Yaeger, of Maywood, Ill., and Jessie Moore, of Jackson, Ala.; 16 grandchildren.
