Mrs. Lola Johnson, 69, of rural Bluford, the mother of Mrs. J. Conrad Allen, of Wayne City, died at 7:30 Wednesday night at the home of her daughter.
Mrs. Johnson, the wife of Runyon Johnson, of Bluford, had been in poor health for several months, suffering from a severe heart condition. She had been hospitalized 1 1/2 months in Mt. Vernon in intensive care.
More recently, she'd been staying with her daughter.
Services will be conducted at 1:30 Saturday afternoon in the Bluford
Funeral Home with Rev. Gilbert Wilson and Rev. Ron Mullins officiating.
Burial will be in Thomason Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Friday.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Jefferson County Mar. 23, 1907, the daughter
of
Joe and Susie (Reece) Atkinson. She was married on March
25, 1925, to Runyon Johnson. He survives.
She was a housewife and belonged to the East Hickory Hill Baptist Church in Bluford.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Lindy Johnson,
of Wayne City; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Allen, of Wayne City; two
grandsons; four brothers, Obie, Roy, Pearl and Forrest, all of Mt.
Vernon; and three sisters, Mrs. Hilma Skinner, of Boulder, Colo.,
Mrs.
Fern Stull, and Mrs. Mable McDonald, both of Mt. Vernon.
