Carson Anderson, 70, a well-known Burnt Prairie man who was a carpenter and farmer, died at 3 a.m. Saturday in the St. Joseph's Hospital in Bloomington.
Mr. Anderson had been in Bloomington visiting his son, Larry, when he suffered an apparent heart attack June 3. He was hospitalized, where he remained until his death.
His body was returned to Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield. Services were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday (today) at the Burnt Prairie Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with Bro. James Clark and Bro. Wayne Harris officiating.
Burial was in the Burnt Prairie Cemetery.
Mr. Anderson was born in White County Apr. 27, 1906, the son of Jacob and Mary (Smith) Anderson. He was married in December of 1926 to Mary Toombs. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Larry, of Normal; and Ray
of Morristown, N.J.; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Funkhouser,
a patient in the Carmi Nursing Home; and Mrs. Ora Hast, of Carmi.
