Harrison E. Matchett, 87, well-known Cisne farmer, passed away at 12:15 Wednesday afternoon in Memorial hospital. He had been admitted to the hospital June 24 suffering from ailments incident to his advanced age.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Hasselton-DeSelms Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock by Rev. Gene Pribble with burial in the Cisne cemetery.
Visitation will be held after three o'clock Friday afternoon.
Harrison E., son of George W. and Mary Burroughs-Matchett was born in Wayne county on September 3, 1888.
He was united in marriage to Susie M. Porter on January 19, 1913. She preceded him in death January 21, 1974.
Mr. Matchett was a member of the General Baptist Faith.
He served in World War I and was a member of the Cisne American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, his parents, two infant sisters and two brothers, Charles and Ira.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Edward (Flossie) Pursell, of Xenia; and a brother, Hobert Matchett, of Anderson, Indiana.
