ELIZABETH L. WALTER
wife of George W. Walter was born April 21, 1861 and departed this life August 17, 1926, aged 65 years, 3 months and 26 days.
She was married April 28, 1877 to this union eight children were born, two sons and six daughters. Two daughters preceded her in death. Names of her children as follows: Anna McKay, Mt. Eriel Effie Phillips, Kansas City, MO; Mary Neavills, Fairfield, Ill.; Marion Falter, Tulsa, Okla.; Frank Walter, Fairfield, Ill.; Olive Martin, Kansas City, Mo. There are also twenty-eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Walter has been a christian since girlhood, having united with the Cumberland Presbyterian church since the dedication of the new building.
The writer of this obituary has made several calls during the sickness of Mrs. Walter and found her always bearing her affliction with patience and fortitude. She was indeed a very loving mother, and devoted wife as evidenced by the tenderness in which her husband and children ministered unto her. The funeral was in charge of Rev. Ernest Shepherd.
