SAD---We learn that Richard Shoemake, a veteran of the 5th Cav. died very suddenly a day or two since. It is thought he received some internal injury from being thrown from a horse which he was breaking. He had just returned home after a long absence in the army and we are truely sorry to hear of his untimely death. He has long been known as a brave and fearless soldier.
