SARAH MURPHY died at the residence of Mrs. John Jackson in Fairfield July 6, 1879, aged 53 years and 10 months.

Miss Murphy was born in Breckenbridge Co., Ky  Sept. 6, 1825 and removed with her parents to Illinois in 1829  where she has since resided.  She joined the Christian Church in 1851 and has been an exemplary member.

She is buried in North Cemetery.
