"J. C. (or L.?) BARTLY came to his death by suicide from a knife
in his own hands"

Height: Five feet, eight inches
Complexion: Light
Color of Eyes: Blue
Color of Hair: Light
Inventory of Personal Effects: had on a dark suit of close (clothes?)
standard colors and dark felt hat that were black crepe, articles found
on the body pocket comb, nutcracker, small mirror, small piece of lead
pencil (rest of decription undecipherable!)
How Disposed of: the body was sent to Shonsetown (Shawneetown?),
Il for burial directed to his Father sent by Railroad the father said the
body was buried at Shawneetown, IL.
