HALL  CEMETERY

David and Hannah (PHILLIPS) HALL were one of the original settlers in Big Mound (aka Pig Mound).  When he died his land was split between his children except for 1 acre.  That 1 acre was to be used for the family cemetery.

November 1981, my cousin, his 2 daughters, my daughter and I found this cemetery.   As we walked through the farm yard into the corn field, I notice an area of thick grass and briars.   As I turned to go toward the center of the area, I saw the tombstone for David Hall and across from it was a stone for Hiram Peer and forgot never stop looking down where cows roam ...  ha!

Several of these stones are not found in any books.
