March, 2007,  six distant cousins off the Haile-Hale-Hail  lines and I got together at a local restaurant.  It was the first time any of us met each other.  Because of the weather (damp and cold), it was agreed not to visit any cemeteries until spring or summer.  We had a great time sharing stories when, someone  said, "Let's drive past the cemeteries and the area they lived.".

Of course, we did ....  not.  Ha!  We drove to and got out.  Not prepared for this, none of us had cameras or writing tools.  I had a book of blank checks and a pen so we used all of it to copy stones then, Barb told her husband to take off his coat.  She wrote on the back of his shirt using lipstick and my pen!  ha!
