Notes from Richard Clark

Bestow, Florence Ada -
Gee, would I like to solve this one!  I know Florence was the daughter of Dr. John S. Rinard.  I also know that Dr. John S. Rinard married Mary Richards before 1850, and that Mary was probably shown as his wife in the 1850 census of Wayne county.  I have no proof that Florence was Mary's daughter, but it is likely, as she was born in 1851.  Florence Ada Rinard was the first wife of Waterman Bestow.  Florence died in Wayne county just months after giving birth to her third daughter in Denver, Colorado, where, coincidentally, three of Mary Richards' brothers from Wayne county had struck it rich.

Clark, Robert P. - Robert Paris Clark,
remarried and moved to Macon/Piatt county, Illinois.  Died "fall of 1960" as best as anyone can remember, probably buried with second wife elsewhere.  Paris was a common name in the Griffith family.

Clark, William Grant Clark and Robert Paris
were the sons of William Riley Clark and Margaret Adeline Griffith, and were my grandmother's uncles.  Harmon Richards, next, was also one of my grandmother's uncles.  He was apparently named for the Harmon family, as his mother and her siblings were raised by the Harmon's in Ohio.  Possible relationship to the Harmon family beyond that is yet unknown.

Richards, Sylvia M. -
Sylvia died 20 January 2005 at Fairfield.  I recently talked with her daughter Martha (Richards) Gregory.

Richards, Leslie N. -
Leslie Noel Richards, enlisted US Army on 29 May 1940 & served in Alaska (National Archives), s/o Harmon and Rebecca.  His marital status at time of enlistment was given as widower in the army record.

Hart, Lucy Ada - d/o Florence Ada (Rinard) and Waterman Bestow, b. in Denver, CO, d. Evansville, IN; w/o Ira Otis Hart, who remarried in 1911, d. 1937

Hart, William E. - s/o Ira and Lucy, also died in Evansville, IN
