Jacob Oplinger FEATHER, b. 1800 in PA or VA, m. 1829 in Orange Co., IN to Martha Matilda COPELIN,  dau. of Thomas COPELIN and Nancy MONTGOMERY, soon afterwards moving to Wayne Co.  Jacob was a teacher and minister, thus organizing Jacob's Chapel Cemetery where they are buried.  Children include: Susannah; Nancy; Polly Ann, m.1) Wm. JOHNSON, m. 2) Wm. H. TURNER; Caroline, m. 1) Ellis REDBURN, m. 2) Wilson McKEE; Richard Beeson Richardson, m. 1) Anna JOHNSON, m. 2) Mrs. Addie BRANSON; Hannah, m. Hiram B. Aug 1825 in Wayne Co., IL.  Father of James maybe William JONES, d. ca 1808 Pulaski Co., KY.  Brothers were Alexander, Robert, William, and Thomas.  Sisters may have been Mary Ann JONES who m. Alfred TAYLOR and Rebecca JONES who m. Thomas KNIGHT.  James m. first ca 1803 to Mrs. (unknown), b. ca 1790, d. before Jul1825 in KY/TN/IL.  They had a son William JONES, b. 1804/08 in KY.  James JONES  m. 12 Jul 1825 in White Co., IL to second wife Nancy Ann STANLEY HARRIS, b. 1803 in NC, the dau. of Stephen STANLEY and Mary GALLOWAY and widow of Nathan HARRIS.  James & Nancy had a son James JONES, b. 20 Mar 1826 in Wayne Co., IL, d. 2 Oct 1908 in White Co., IL.  James JONES m. 3 times to Rebecca RANDOLPH, Margaret CHISM BLUE, and Mailtha WILLIAMS STANLEY, all in White Co., IL, and had 12 children.  William JONES, son of James JONES and first wife, b. 1804/1808 in Pulaski Co., KY, d. 1858 in Sangamon Co., IL.  He m. 14 Jun 1831 in Sangamon Co., IL to Martha Ann LILLARD, b. 24 Jul 1815 in Rockingham Co., NC, d. after 1874.  They had the following children:

I am looking for any info. on James TAYLOR, b. between 1779 and 1780 (possibly MD).  He was on the 1820, 1830, and 1840 census of Wayne Co.  I believe that William TAYLOR of White Co., James H. TAYLOR, and my ancestor Ninian R. TAYLOR (not the Ninian who moved to Sangamon Co.) are his sons.  I am also looking for John BROWN, b. 1800 in RI.  His dau. Sarah Jane BROWN m. Mar 1848 in Wayne Co. to Ninian R. TAYLOR and then moved to Mason Co., IL.  If any one knows anything about these two families I would really appreciate the help.  Thank you.

From family records, William HOLLOWAY (b. abt 1805, d. 1864) and sister were sent to live with a family by the name of WARREN when their parents died of yellow fever in SC or KY.  William HOLLOWAY m. 1830 in Lawrence Co., IL to Rhoda Ann SWANGO.  There were 15 children, some were born in Wayne Co., Clay Co., and Pike Co.  (Spelling of name was sometimes HALLOWAY and other times HOLLOWAY).  Children: Gilbert, John Wesley, Josiah Cyrus, Thomas L., Mary A., Emma, Adaline, William, Jesse, Tolman, James, Lydia, Clara, Jasper, and Andrew.  I will share what I have.

Margaret HALE who was b. abt 1836 in TN.  They were in Hill Co., TX by the 1880 census.  Margaret HALE was the dau. of Luke J. HALE & Margaret REESER who are buried in the Hale Cemetery in Wayne Co., IL.  Margaret REESER was the dau. of Frederick REESER & Margaret ESSMAN.

HOPKINS, b. 13 Sep 1825, Hamilton Co., IL, d. 10 Sep 1898, probably in Wayne Co.  Married Nancy Martina __?__ who was b. 1838 in IL.  Children include: Martha J., Susan E., Clinton L. and Francis M.  Did this John HOPKINS marry a 2nd wife Emily and have a daughter Laura HOPKINS?  John F.S., an Emily HOPKINS, and Laura C. HOPKINS (dau. of John and Emily) are buried in Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City.  Any info. on descendants of John F.S. HOPKINS greatly appreciated.

Would like to contact researchers of the KLINE surname.  I need the names of the parents of William KLINE, b. 25 Apr 1797 in PA.  He lived in PA; Washington Co., MD; Ogle Co., IL; and in Jasper Co., IA.  Tombstone states he d. on 30 Jul 1883 at the age of 86 years and three months.  He married Mary Magdelene BALTZER, b. Feb 1800, dau. of Anthony BALTZER (spelled BALZER on his Rev. War Pension) and Elizabeth FUNK.  The date of his marriage is not known nor is the place.  In the will of his brother, Peter KLINE, executed 8 Jun 1872, his sisters are listed as Betsy and Peggy and another brother, John, is mentioned.  The Commissioner of Pensions on Form 199A from the Treasury Department on 12 Jan 1893 lists the children of Anthony and Elizabeth BALZER as Mary KLINE, Lydia HAMILTON and Amelia SCHUBTER.  William and Mary KLINE had four children b. in PA: Catherine Ann Elizabeth in 1819; Anthony Artoine' on 8 May 1820; Lydia in 1822; and Henry in 1828.  Between the years of 1828 and 1829 they moved to Washington Co., MD where four more children were born: Peter on 1 Jul 1829; Joshua in 1834; William Alexander on 23 Nov 1836 and John in 1838.  About 1840, the family with exception of Anthony Artoine' moved to IL residing in Ogle Co. near the town of Byron.  Most of the family then moved to Jasper Co., IA about 1856.  I have the names of the spouses of these children of William and Mary KLINE but need more info. on William's parents and also the parents and siblings of Mary Magdelene BALZER.
