Seeking info. on Neify CAUDLE and wife, Sarah Elizabeth SIMMONS.  They moved ca 1880 from IL to Davis City, IA.  Members of L.D.S. community.  Sarah remarried a Mr. KRIDER and returned to IL after Neify's death.  She is buried in Cisne.  Her funeral was held at the Brush Creek Latter Day Saints Chapel in 1938.

Need parents of Elizabeth IRWIN COON, b. 8 Feb 1846 in Wayne Co., d. 16 Jan 1882, buried Johnsonville Cemetery, m. ca 1864 to Charles COON, a German immigrant who served in Co. I, 48th IL Inf.  He owned 200 acres near Mt. Airy.  They had 8 children before her death.  Have reason to believe her father may have been William IRWIN who had land in Hickory Hill Twp. and Indian Prairie Twp.  Any help will be appreciated on this IRWIN line.

I am looking for the whereabouts prior to 1840 of my gg-grandfather, David GREENWALT, b. 17 Jul 1813 either in KY or Prussia (Germany), d. 3 Sep 1862 in Wayne Co., IL, m. (1) 4 Feb 1836 to Eliza GARRISON, dau. of Samuel GARRISON and Martha CONLEY, m. (2) 4 Apr 1857 to Maria L. WATSON.  The 1840 Federal Census for Wayne Co. shows him head of household with male child under five, one male twenty to thirty (presumably David), one male eighty to ninety, two females under the age of five, one female age twenty to thirty (presumably Eliza).  In the 1850 Federal Census for Wayne Co., David states he was b. in KY.  Family records state that he was b. in Prussia (Germany) as we all know family records are not always accurate.

The 1850 census for Wayne Co. has Henry FOUNTAIN, b. ca 1823 in MO, and wife, Elizabeth, b. ca 1823 in IL, and children: Mary A., b. ca 1845 in IL; Louisa, b. ca 1847 in IL; and Stephen, b. Nov 19, 1849 in IL.  Henry must have d. bef 1860 as only Elizabeth and children were on that census.  Stephen FOUNTAIN m. Sep 12, 1869 to Sarah Elizabeth MARTIN.  Their children: Nancy Isabelle, b. Jun 16, 1870, d. Jan 8, 1876; Elizabeth Jane, b. Oct 7, 1871, d. Oct 4, 1873; and William Sanford, b. Dec 13, 1873.  Stephen FOUNTAIN d. Feb 4, 1876 at age 26.  Sarah MARTIN FOUNTAIN m. Sep 4, 1879 in Wayne Co, IL to John W. MORRIS.  The FOUNTAIN family name has also been spelled FONTAINE and FOUNTAINE.  Does anyone known anything about these people?  I have info. on Sarah E. MARTIN FOUNTAIN MORRIS, William Sanford FOUNTAIN, and John W. MORRIS to share.

Jan 14, 1859 in Wayne Co., IL, buried in Garrison Temple Cemetery.  Andrew and Nancy Jane MARTIN's children: A.G., b. ca 1839 in TN; James, b. 1840, served in Co. I, 48th IL Inf.; Susan M., b. ca 1842 in IL; Owen H., b. ca 1844 in IL; Nancy Catherine, b. ca 1846 in IL; William J., b. ca 1849 in IL; Sarah Elizabeth, b. Feb 4, 1851; Sarah Jane, b. Mar 30, 1853 in IL; Martha A., b. ca 1850 in IL; and George E., b. ca 1859 in IL.  Andrew MARTIN m. Elizabeth __?__ after Nancy Jane's death.  Elizabeth was b. Dec 19, 1832, d. Dec 25, 1876, and is buried in Garrison Temple Cemetery.  Andrew and Elizabeth MARTIN's children: Amadona, b. ca 1865 in IL; Andrew Jr., b. ca 1869 in IL; and Saudy, b. ca 1873 in IL.  At least one of the sons moved to TX.  Amadona believed to have married and moved to Bemer, WA.  Does anyone have any info. on any of these people?  I have info. on Sarah Elizabeth MARTIN and her descendants to share.

Am looking for info. on the Vernon Cemetery, northeast of Fairfield, IL.  My mother, Blanche Corrine COX GIDCUMB, b. Jan 7, 1921, remembers going with her dad, Charles COX, b. May 18, 1894, to mow and clean the cemetery when she was about 12 years old.  She believes that the COX and the GILLISONs are buried there.  Don't know who else.  We are looking for death date of John P. COX, b. 1843.  His wife was Sarah AMBROSE, d. 1906 and is buried there also.  Any help would be appreciated!  Thank you.
