Surnames: HIGGINBOTHAM, JONES, McCRACKEN

Looking for info. on the families of Cadwallader JONES, Aquilla McCRACKEN, b. 1772 in NC, and Pulliam HIGGINBOTHAM, b. 1795 in GA.  According to legend, Aquilla was the "grandson of an Indian, presumably Osage" and of a JONES, presumably Cadwallader, but maybe Aquilla JONES.  Further, Pulliam HIGGINBOTHAM was m. to a dau. of Aquilla McCRACKEN, possibly Nancy.  The families seemed to move north to IL together ca 1820, and then back south to MO and AR ca 1834, minus the JONESes.  It would be nice to be able to remove the "presumably" and "possibly" from these families!  Please contact me.  Thank you.
