Wed 50 Years

Rev. and Mrs. Gerald Musgrave of 1510 Cumberland Drive, Fairfield, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 5.

Their children are hosting an open house at the Kings Chapel Church in Fairfield Sunday, Aug 7, from 4-4 p.m. All friends, relatives and neighbors are invited.

Gerald is the son of the late Rev. Raymond and Cora Coffman Musgrave of Fairfield. Doris is the daughter of the late Dewey and Dessie Wells Hutcheson of Sims and in later years Fairfield.

The Musgraves have spent most of their married life in the Fairfield and Sims area. Gerald has been an ordained minister in the Congregational Christian Churches since 1954. They both are members of the Kings Chapel Congregational Christian Church.  Gerald no longer pastors churches, but he does fillin for other ministers some.

Mr. Musgrave retired from carpentry work in 1987. Both Gerald and Doris were employed at Airtex in their younger years. Doris has also been a cook at the hospital, schools, and at youth camp.

The Musgraves were married Aug. 5, 1944, at the home of Rev. Jimmy Whitson in Sims. Their witnesses were the late Maurice (Tiny) Musgrave and Audrey Mitchell. Audrey is now Mrs. Dale Crockett in Wyoming.

Gerald and Doris have four children.  Also included in the family are five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
