Burt and Bernetta Bates, well known Fairfield couple, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Dec. 17.

Mr. Bates, for many years, served as Wayne County Supervisor of Assessments.

A reception will be hosted in the Wayne County Bank between the hours of 2 and 4 p.m. by their sons.

The family includes two grandchildren.

All friends and relatives are invited to join the couple on their "special" day. It is requested that gifts be omitted.
