Mr. and Mrs Jim McMeen, of rural Fairfield, were honored Saturday, Jan. 15, with a surprise anniversary party.

The couple observed their silver wedding anniversary January 14.

Those attending were their four children and their spouses.

Others present were Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Theron Wolfe and Jakara; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pennington and Wilfred, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Shaw, Lisa Green and Mr. and Mrs. Garrell Legg, of Fairfield. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith and Brad, of Salem, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Wells, of Sims; Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Owen, Jr., Reed, Ky; Mr. and Mrs. Gene Patterson, of Olney.

Gifts were received and cake and punch served.
