Leon and Firn Hubble of Bettendorf, Iowa, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Apr. 9. They were married Apr. 8, 1945, in Craig, Colo.

The Hubbles are former residents of Fairfield and also lived in Clay City and Olney before moving to Iowa. Mr. Hubble is a brother of the late Everett Hubble of Wayne County.

Leon retired from Alcoa Aluminum Co. in 1955. He has also worked for W. W. Toler Trucking Co. and Robinson and Puckett Drilling Co.

They are the parents of two daughters,   They also have two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration with friends and family is planned for Apr. 9, at the home of their daughter, Barbara, in Davenport.
