Clifford and Bonita Lowe, Cisne will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house Sunday, June 23, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Ruritan Building in Johnsonville.

Clifford and Bonita (Leathers) Lowe were married June 23, 1946, at the Rock Branch General Baptist Church in Cisne by Rev. F. N.  Shields. William (Bill) Leathers and Alice (Gochenour) Mayberry were the couple's wedding attendants.

Clifford is the son of the late Clarence and Sarah (Tillie) Lowe of Cisne. Bonita is the daughter of the late Pearl and Lillie Leathers of Cisne.

For many years Clifford and Bonita were the owners/operators of the Round Prairie General Store. After the store closed in 1966, Clifford went to work at Kissner and Weaver Implement in Wayne City, and Bonita went to work as a full time homemaker. Clifford is now a semi-retired oil well pumper.

They are the parents of two sons and two daughters. They also have eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Family, friends and community are all invited to the open house should you be unable to attend and wish to send cards, their address is (removed).

The family requests that gifts be omitted.
