Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Fenton of Fairfield will observe their 50th wedding anniversary June 29, 1996.
The couple was married June 29, 1946 at the First Christian Church in Fairfield
by Rev. James Irby, Jr. Serving as attendants were Alvin Hooper of Fairfield and
Maxine (Murburger) Tibbs of Clay City.

Oscar served in World War II as an engineer. He worked as an auto body repairman for Clyde O'Leary, Hoffee Motor Sales, and Brown Chevrolet before starting his own business. Oscar retired from owner/operator of Fenton's Body Shop in 1985. Luella helped with the business and is a homemaker.

Luella is the former Luella Hooper, daughter of Flossie and the late Richard Hooper. Oscar is the son of the late Oscar and Nora Fenton.

The Fentons have two children and three grandchildren.  Randall Fenton is married to Joyce Pope Fenton. They have two children, Lindsay of Mt. Carmel, and Levi at home. Randall is owner of Fenton's Body Shop in Fairfield.  Donna (Fenton) Haegele is married to Randy Haegele.  They live in Union, KY with their son, Grant.  Donna is a Mary Kay consultant and homemaker.

 In celebration of their anniversary, the Fentons and their families will spend a weekend at Patoka Lake in Indiana at the Patoka Four Seasons Resort.

The couple would enjoy hearing from friends and relatives. Cards and letters can be sent to their home (address removed).
